tattoos???? SSR

http://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/04/19/would-you-ever-consider-getting-a-tattoo/

Tattoos are awesome they can be anything!! You can get your own personal one or get matching ones.  I might get a tattoo but most likely it would be in memory of somebody. It would be a nice thing to do. If I got a tattoo it would be something sweet and nice and nothing stupid. I would also think it through. Like my dad he got a tattoo of a dragon type thing on his shoulder but it was too high up and too small so he didn’t really think it through. He was with his friends and didn’t really care. So I would get a tattoo of my mom or dad, maybe even one of my sisters or brother but most likely not. Lots of people have tattoos and they look cool but they need to be professionally done otherwise they will look stupid. My mom says I can’t get a tattoo but if it is in memory of somebody I think that will work.  A tattoo is a permanent mark or design made on the skin by a process of pricking and ingraining an indelible pigment or by raising scars. So this isn’t going to come off so you need to really think about this. I don't think badly of them as long as they are not racist or hateful.  Tattoos can be very bad for some jobs to, so you got to make sure you that you don’t get a tattoo if you are going to get a job that requires you to have no tattoos.  Tattoos can be bad to though. Tattooing has been used as a way of smuggling secret messages across enemy lines in times of war. As of 2006 36% of people from the age of 18 to 29 had at least one tattoo. So tattooing is a thing I might do but maybe not.

six people living or dead would i invite to dinner (SSR)

http://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/04/22/what-six-people-living-or-dead-would-you-invite-to-dinner/

Six people I would invite to dinner would be Andy Sixx, Ashley Purdy, Avril Lavigne, Pink, Jayy von Monroe, and Nate Ruess. I would invite all these people to dinner because they are really awesome and really good singers.
Andy sixx- part of the Black Veil brides Band and is the lead singer. He wears a lot of makeup and I guess lots of people think he looks like a girl. I don’t think so. He had long hair for a while but he cut it and now he looks similar to Jayy von Monroe from blood on the dance floor. My favorite song by him is “In The End”.
Ashley purdy- also part of Black Veil Brides and is the bass guitar. He also wears a lot of makeup to. He has lots of hair and sometimes acts like a girl but he is cool. Avril Lavigne- she has a band of her own and she is really awesome. She doesn’t act like a normal girl she just doesn’t care. She is also a really good singer.  She has really pretty blonde hair and I really want it. My favorite song by her is “Here’s To Never Growing Up”.
Pink- she is really cool! She seriously doesn’t care about anything. For example her music video for Funhouse is really weird and really cool and totally goes with her song. Most of her songs have nothing in common except some that are about relationships.  My favorite song by her is "Just Give Me Reason".
Jayy von Monroe- he is a really good singer. He has a really cool haircut and has lots of piercings all over his face.  My favorite song by him is “Unforgiven”. Nate ruess- he is really weird. I don’t really like him. He doesn’t really have a clear point in his songs. But he is a really good singer and can reach the really high notes for a guy. My favorite song by him is “Why Am The I One”.

21or 18 smoking age CRR
So people are saying we need to change the age to 21 for buying cigarettes. I agree with this claim because I think that an 18 year old shouldn’t make a definite choice about living or dying. An 18 year old can vote, serve in the army, and drive. I think that an 18 year old can do all these at that age just not smoking. In the army they could die but they might not.  To vote you won’t die. And to drive you could die but you might not. So the one thing and 18 year old can do that is life threatening is smoking. And 18 year old is just getting there freedom and they don’t need to be pressured to buy drugs when they are still in school. This could happen because a 17 year old can’t buy them so he/she can use peer pressure on an 18 year old and then they could smoke.
If an 18 year old can’t drink then they shouldn’t smoke either.  They are just learning to drive and they don’t need to be holding a cigarette because that could affect there driving skills. If they are drinking that will definitely effect there driving skills. Any type of smoking should be legal till the person is the age of 21 because they all affect a person life in three ways socially, emotionally, and physically. The only friends they are going to get are the druggy ones that aren’t really friends they are just using you for more drugs.
So all in all I strongly agree that an 18 year old can’t smoke until they are 21. They can vote, drive and serve in army. An 18 year old can’t think right because they think they have all this freedom so they do whatever they want but it doesn’t work that way and they could die from smoking.

favorite picture book CRR

My favorite picture book would have to be “where the sidewalk ends” by Shel Silverstien. This is my favorite book because he can write great poetry and that book has my favorite poems. “When the light turns green, you go. When light turns red, you stop. But what do you do when the light turns blue with orange and lavender spots?” – Shel Silverstien, A Light in the Attic. I like this poem because it makes you think a little and you wonder what you would do if it turned those colors. My favorite poem in that book is “whatif”. This poem lot of kids can relate to because it talks about things that a kid might wonder. Now the art in the book is a whole different story. Just the pictures themselves could tell a story. They are just fun and imperfect pictures that are perfect in their own way.  I’m not saying there well I’m saying they are great. Shel Silverstien can write great poetry and can draw very well. Many of kids haven’t read this book and I highly recommend it. Even if you don’t like poetry or if you’re too cool for reading his books are inspiring and a lot like real life. A kid picture books are full of things that can’t even really happen that’s why kids like them they are funny. But his books are about real life things mostly. If they aren’t they are hilarious and make it seem like anything is possible. I think during poetry month we should just focus on Shel Silverstien books so that way more kids will know about his awesome poetry and awesome drawings. He has written lots of books and they are all great but “where the sidewalk ends” is the best of them all. So read it and you will love it……….
